One of the most important results of our weekend experience was the deepening of our understanding of the concept of ‘Church’ and the reality for us, as couples and a priest, of what it means to be a Sacrament- a ‘living sign’ of the reality of Jesus’ presence in our love for one another. We were inspired to become involved in promoting this vision of Church in various ways: Marriage preparation, Marriage enrichment days, Spiritual direction for couples, parish missions on Marriage, Diocesan marriage and family life ministries,

and, since making our own ME Weekends, have collectively been involved in running courses for over 4000 married and engaged couples. The individuals work experiences have embraced among other things - teaching, including school Headship, and office administration and management. Also, Advertising and Promotions, including running a business, Scientific research and applications, including work for the United Nations, Marine conservation, Christian Retreat Centre management, working with Churches Together in setting up town drop-in Centres.

    About Us

We are five couples and a priest, who, a long time ago, were involved in leadership roles in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement in England and Wales. Between us we have over 800 years of life, over 280 years of marriage and over 60 years of priesthood. Together as married couples, we have 21 children and more than 35 grandchildren, so lots of experience of parenting and grandparenting!
